I cooked this at 350 for about an hour and a half. Then dump it all into a nice baking dish and get it into the oven. There is also a little potato flake in there which is pretty much my secret weapon at this point. Add in defrosted vegan ground beef and cook until browned, 5-7 minutes. Add diced onion and saut for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant and softened. In a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil (or another neutral cooking oil). Tots! Also, 2 eggs and some chicken or veggie stock. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a 9×13 casserole dish. Bake for 30 mins until the tater tots are lovely and golden on top and cheese underneath is melted. Transfer to an oven dish, top with the grated cheddar, and then place the tater tots on the top, season top with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Then add everything to a large bowl – sausage, veggies, and lots of herbs. Preheat oven to 180c fan, 200c, 400f or gas mark 6. Pretty standard stuffing stuff at this point. Topped with vegan cheese and cri. Sausage gets cooked first, and then the veggies go into the same pan after the sausage comes out. The final dish came out way better than I had expected and would be a fun addition to any Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving table! A sure winner the whole family will love 4. This idea was interesting to me because it also made a gluten free version of stuffing that everyone could enjoy. I was trying to think of fun stuffing mash-ups this year and one that I came up with was using tots instead of bread.
